The Sankofa Plaza project is a proposed mixed-used retail and residential development in the Amasaman district of Accra, Ghana. The 40,000 square foot building includes ground floor retail, two upper level apartments and a penthouse suite at the top. Aesthetically, the project explores how a facade can deliver a visual impact in the form of metal panels and processed bamboo siding. Sankofa Plaza strives to be a small scale commercial neighborhood development with the intent to serve the growing community in which it belongs.
